Entries Open for 2026 Totalsports Women’s Race as South Africa Gears Up for Iconic Women’s Month Celebration

Entries have officially opened for one of South Africa’s most anticipated Women’s Month events, the Totalsports Women’s Race 2026, inviting thousands of women to take part in a powerful celebration of fitness, unity, and empowerment.

Taking place across three consecutive Sundays in August, the race series will begin in Durban on 2 August, move to Cape Town on 9 August, and conclude in Johannesburg on 16 August 2026. Participants can choose between 5km and 10km routes in each city, making the event accessible to women of all ages and fitness levels.

According to Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports, the opening of entries marks the start of something truly special.

“The Totalsports Women’s Race creates a space where every woman can feel included and inspired. Whether participants are chasing personal goals or simply enjoying the experience with friends, the event celebrates Women’s Month in a meaningful and empowering way,” he said.

Beyond participation, the race also provides a competitive platform for elite athletes, offering high-level racing opportunities within a uniquely energised, women-focused environment.

The event continues its meaningful partnership with PinkDrive, supporting breast cancer awareness and early detection initiatives across the country. Through this collaboration, the race extends its impact beyond sport, contributing to vital health education and services for medically uninsured communities.

Highlighting the broader significance of the event, Nikki Crous, Head of Marketing at Totalsports, described the race as more than just a physical challenge.

“This event brings together women from all walks of life. It’s a celebration of strength, unity, and shared experiences,” she said. “Each city offers a unique atmosphere — from Durban’s coastal charm to Cape Town’s scenic routes and Johannesburg’s vibrant energy. We encourage women to enter early and be part of this unforgettable journey.”
