Ginuwine, Mýa, RL and Zonke Dikana set to deliver two nights of timeless music and premium live entertainment at Ndlala Arena
Johannesburg is set to experience two nights of world-class R&B when Ndlala Grandeur II returns to Ndlala Arena on 21 and 22 August 2026, bringing together an impressive line-up of international and South African musical talent in celebration of Women’s Month.
Following the success of its inaugural edition, Ndlala Grandeur II promises an elevated entertainment experience that blends timeless music, luxury and exceptional live performances.
The festivities will kick off on Friday, 21 August, with American R&B singer, songwriter and producer RL (Robert Lavelle Huggar) taking centre stage. Best known as the distinctive lead vocalist of the multi-platinum-selling group NEXT, RL has enjoyed a career spanning more than three decades.
His musical legacy includes R&B favourites such as Too Close, Wifey, Butta Love and I Still Love You. Beyond his work with NEXT, RL has collaborated with artists including Deborah Cox, Ginuwine, Tyrese, Snoop Dogg and 2Pac, while also contributing songwriting credits to music stars such as Luther Vandross, Usher, Jaheim and Jamie Foxx.
Adding to Friday night’s line-up will be Grammy Award-winning R&B star Mýa, one of contemporary R&B’s most recognisable female voices. The singer rose to international prominence with hits including Case of the Ex, It’s All About Me, My Love Is Like… Wo and Free.
Mýa’s Grammy-winning performance on Lady Marmalade further cemented her status as one of the genre’s leading performers. With a career spanning more than 25 years, she has established herself as an accomplished singer, songwriter, actress and entertainer.
Representing South Africa on the opening night will be multi-platinum Afro-soul star Zonke Dikana. The acclaimed singer-songwriter and record producer has built a reputation for her soulful vocals, distinctive songwriting and captivating performances.
Zonke’s career has earned her numerous accolades, including multiple South African Music Awards and an MTV Africa Music Award. Her inclusion adds a strong local dimension to a line-up that celebrates some of the most influential voices in R&B and soul.
The musical celebrations will continue on Saturday, 22 August, with Grammy-nominated R&B superstar Ginuwine headlining the second night.
Born Elgin Baylor Lumpkin, Ginuwine became one of contemporary R&B’s defining artists through his pioneering collaborations with legendary producer Timbaland. His catalogue includes global hits such as Pony, Differences, So Anxious, In Those Jeans and Same Ol’ G.
With more than three decades in the music industry, multiple platinum-selling albums and membership of the acclaimed R&B supergroup TGT alongside Tank and Tyrese, Ginuwine continues to hold a prominent place in the genre.
The two-day event forms part of Ndlala Arena’s broader commitment to bringing internationally recognised entertainment to South African audiences while establishing the venue as a leading destination for premium live experiences.
