Newcomer singer and pianist KWANDA tells a tale of love and devotion in his single ‘Ndizakunika’

His music style is soft, soulful, and heartfelt.
Afro Soul Rising star KWANDA is cementing his place in the music business. His musical journey began with the keyboard.
Born in Queenstown in the the Eastern Cape. He learned to play the keys in the Arts and Culture classes. This is where KWANDA also discovered his most powerful instrument – his voice. What started as a classroom discovery soon turned into a defining passion, as his peers and teachers recognized his exceptional vocal talent.
Fast forward, and he is now an Afro-soul wonder, signed to Nova Sounds, under the wing of musician Vusi Nova.
KWANDA ‘s current breakout single, ‘Ndizakunika’ meaning ‘I will give you’ in his home language of isiXhosa, has won many hearts.
‘Ndizakunika’ is his honest offering of love, fully and unreservedly. The arrangement highlights the lyrics, making it more meaningful.
“For me, it’s a promise to give everything I can to the person I love, whether it’s big or small, as long as it comes from the heart,” Kwanda says.
“This song is my way of showing that love isn’t measured by how much you have, but by how deeply you’re willing to give of yourself. It’s about being real, being vulnerable, and choosing to love everything you’ve got. ‘Ndizakunika’ is not just music to me — it’s my truth, my gift, and my way of reminding us all that when you love, you love wholeheartedly.”
The Afro Soul genre has always been his safe space to describe how he feels and express himself. Tender melodies, soft chords, and soulful guitars best express his vulnerability.
