The Gauteng Liquor Board (GLB) is hitting the road with a province-wide engagement
drive, bringing vital transformation discussions and digital onboarding directly to liquor
traders in their own communities. The campaign aims to make license management
easier through the new GLB online system, while also ensuring that traders have a
strong voice in shaping the Transformation Charter, a roadmap for an inclusive and
equitable liquor industry.
The GLB’s regional engagements seek to:
• Onboard liquor traders onto the GLB online system, empowering them to
manage their liquor licences conveniently and efficiently.
• Gather input on the Transformation Charter, which focuses on inclusivity, fair
competition, and opportunities for small and historically disadvantaged traders.
• Bridge the gap between the Board and traders by engaging directly at the
community level to promote compliance, accessibility, and transformation.
These engagements form part of GLB’s broader effort to modernise operations,
strengthen partnerships, and ensure that all traders benefit from a fair and transparent
regulatory environment.
Members of the media are invited to attend and cover the sessions as the GLB
interacts directly with liquor traders, explaining the benefits of the online system and
collecting insights on the Transformation Charter.
