COMMITMENT TO TRANSFORMATION AND FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE, SEES TIGER BRANDS ACHIEVE LEVEL 1 B-BBEE STATUS

Johannesburg, December 2025. Tiger Brands has achieved Level 1 Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) contributor status for the year that ended 30 September 2025 in accordance with the Amended AgriBEE Sector Codes of Good Practice.

This achievement is the result of a strengthened transformation drive across the business over the past year, driven by collaboration with partners across the Tiger Brands value chain, agile delivery of the turnaround strategy and a strong financial performance.

Notably, the company improved performance against the Ownership, Skills Development and Preferential Procurement elements of the scorecard, while maintaining a solid and long-standing performance on Socio-Economic Development.

“We are very proud to reaffirm our position as an industry leader in transformation. In the last year, Tiger Brands has made swift progress in delivering on its turnaround strategy and unlocking the company’s full potential. While delivering a strong set of financial results this past financial year, we also strengthened our continued commitment to drive transformation and contribute to the South African economy,” says Joe Ralebepa, Chief Legal and Corporate Affairs Officer, Tiger Brands.

“Core to our strategy is working to make quality food and essential products affordable and available, from the biggest cities to the smallest villages. We do this by partnering with farmers, businesses and customers, uniting the efforts of our people and the power of our value chain to serve the diverse needs of every household and empower and support our communities. These are some of the many ways in which we live our purpose to cultivate and nourish lives, every day and every tomorrow.”
