YHC Management, representing rapper and entrepreneur Money Mike SA (real name Ibrahim Abdul Fakhouri), wishes to address the recent public exchange involving Mr Tebogo G Mashego and the serious allegations that have been made against our client.
After careful consideration, Money Mike SA has chosen to respond through his management out of respect for his supporters, industry colleagues, and the public.
We categorically reject and condemn the allegations made against Money Mike SA, including claims linking him to human trafficking or any other criminal activity. These allegations are completely false, malicious, defamatory, and damaging to the brand he spent many years building.
For the record, Money Mike SA has never met Mashego. Prior to this incident, he only knew of Mashego through his friend and business associate, TMG. There has never been any personal or professional relationship between the two that could justify the damaging accusations that have been levelled against our client.
Money Mike SA has spent years building his career with integrity, professionalism and determination. Everything he has achieved has been earned through perseverance, discipline, and an unwavering commitment to his craft. Like any individual, Money Mike SA was deeply offended and angered by the false allegations directed at him. The accusations attacked not only his career but also his personal character and reputation. Unfortunately, in responding to those allegations, he allowed himself to be provoked and made comments that were emotional and hurtful.
While the management team understands the circumstances that led to his response, Money Mike SA would like to sincerely apologise to any of his supporters, partners, or members of the public who may have been disappointed by the language he used. His reaction came from a place of frustration after being subjected to false and damaging claims, but he recognises that his words may have hurt others.
At the same time, we wish to make it clear that being a public figure does not require anyone to tolerate defamation, false accusations, or repeated attacks on their character. Public personalities deserve the same legal protections as every other citizen. Going forward, Money Mike SA will not participate in public disputes or social media confrontations. Any future defamatory statements, threats, or malicious allegations directed at him, his family, or his business interests will be dealt with through the appropriate legal channels.
Despite everything that has transpired, Money Mike SA harbours no ill will towards Mashego. Instead, our team has become increasingly concerned about his wellbeing. In good faith, we privately extended an offer to assist him in accessing professional mental wellness support after observing behaviour that raised concern. Unfortunately, that offer was declined.
In addition, there have been attempts to solicit financial assistance during this period, which has further reinforced our concern that there may be deeper personal challenges at play. Rather than ridicule or condemnation, we believe Mashego deserves compassion, guidance and professional support. We sincerely encourage those closest to him to continue supporting him and to assist him in accessing the help he may need.
Money Mike SA has no desire to continue this matter in the public domain. His priority is, and has always been, his music, his businesses and the supporters who have stood beside him throughout his journey.
As an artist with an expanding international footprint, he remains committed to releasing impactful music, growing his entrepreneurial ventures and representing South Africa with pride both locally and abroad.
