Tutsheni is on her way to Poland!

From a dusty train station in the Eastern Cape to a world title fight in Poland.

Undefeated Simamkele Tutsheni (8-0) has travelled over 14 000km to face Poland’s technical star Laura Grzyb (11-0) for the vacant IBO Junior Featherweight World Title this weekend.

For Tutsheni, this fight is about more than just an opponent. It’s about overcoming the cold, the crowd, and the challenge of fighting in someone else’s backyard.

Born in rural Eastern Cape and fighting out of Langa, Tutsheni’s boxing journey began during lockdown training at a train station. Just four years later, she stands on the brink of a world title.

Across the ring is Grzyb, the polished Polish technician with over 150 amateur fights and the EBU European title.

One fighter relies on relentless pressure and stamina.
The other on precision and control.

One thing is certain. One “0” must go.

Sunday night in Poland, a new world champion will be crowned.
